Spare Key is a Minnesota-based non-profit that helps families in need across the United States find crowdfunding and donation-based solutions. Their platform, Help Me Bounce, is where those families, their social workers, and thousands of donors meet in order to help ensure their needs are taken care of, and, ideally, their medical costs are covered. With Electric Citizen, I helped revive and rebuild Help Me Bounce from its simplified, closed-source foundation to an open, Drupal-based site. Due to legal requirements in setting up these crowdfunding campaigns, the website needed to have numerous routes to get a donation page set up, while ensuring every step in the process was reviewed by a legal case worker. We were able to bring these requirements together and deliver a site that looked and functioned, on the front-end, in an extremely simple manner--while ensuring any content went through the proper procedures.
